OSBORN, Lawrence L. - WWI

Lawrence L. Osborn of Veedersburg, age 80, died early Thursday, April 23, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. He was born August 19, 1900, the son of John and Olive Death Osborn. He had never married and had no known survivors.

  An Army veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Veedersburg First Christian Church and Masonic Lodge and Phi Lambda Upsilon and Alpha Chi Sigma fraternities. He was a former chemistry teacher at the University of Maine and after moving to Veedersburg was employed as a cashier at Veedersburg State Bank for many years.

  Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. Bill Ringgold officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery. – thanks to S
